Gold and Silver Monovarietal Awards

Held in the homeland of Memecik olives, the Anatolian International Olive Oil Competition is almost like a home ground test for NizOlive. The awards we receive in this competition serve as strong confirmation for both our local roots and the quality philosophy we have been cultivating for years.

In 2022, NizOlive Memecik made its first appearance on the Anatolian stage and received the Monovarietal Gold Award. Produced from single variety Memecik olives using the cold extraction method, our extra virgin olive oil stood out in the judging notes for its balance of fruitiness, bitterness and pungency.

In 2023, we received the Monovarietal Silver Award at the same competition. This result demonstrated that NizOlive Memecik maintains its quality line even under varying harvest conditions and continues to offer a clear and consistent flavor profile every year without losing its character.

In 2024, we returned to the Anatolian IOOC stage and once again received the Monovarietal Gold Award. Two golds and one silver over three consecutive years confirm that NizOlive Memecik is not defined by a single good season but by consistent excellence. The recognition we receive from Anatolian reflects the value created when we combine the abundant Memecik olives of Aydin with NizOlive’s transparent production approach, acknowledged by both local and international juries.

Gold Monovarietal Award

The Japan Olive Oil Prize held in Tokyo is considered one of the most important references for olive oil quality in the Asian market. The Gold Monovarietal award received by NizOlive Memecik is a powerful indication that our journey from Aydin has been appreciated by expert tasting panels in Japan as well.

Our extra virgin olive oil, produced exclusively from Memecik olives using the cold extraction method, received high tasting scores from the JOOP jury with its aromas reminiscent of fresh herbs, green apple and almond, along with its balanced bitterness and pungency. This gold medal awarded in 2022 became one of NizOlive Memecik’s entry tickets into the global arena and opened the door for recognition in the Far East.

London International Olive Oil Competition 2022

With this recognition, NizOlive’s presence on the European olive oil map became firmly established and the unique character of Memecik olive oil reached wider audiences through London.

As olive oil consumption habits rapidly evolve in North America, the Canada International Olive Oil Competition stands as a significant indicator of quality for the region. The Gold Quality Award received by NizOlive Memecik demonstrated that Memecik olive oil from the Aegean achieved the same strong impact on discerning palates in Canada.

The CIOOC jury awarded NizOlive Memecik with gold for its freshness, fruity intensity and balanced finish. Receiving gold medals in Japan, the United Kingdom and Canada during the same harvest season made NizOlive Memecik’s cross continental consistency and commitment to delivering quality in every country clearly visible.
